Changing Lanes with Your Vehicle for Law Enforcement Officers is the Law

In a shocking report, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund claims 150 officers since 1997 were killed after being struck by motorists who didn't obey Move Over laws. These laws are currently on books in all 50 states, but hardly any drivers even know they exist.

To that point, Mason Dixon Polling & Research released the results of a national poll that showed over 70 percent of the drivers in this country don't even know what a Move Over law is. That shocking claim just puts even more law enforcement in danger. To help reduce these incidents, when drivers see officers on the side of the highway, slow the vehicle down and try to safely get the car to a lane further over from where the officer is conducting their business.

Ram Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep is trying to bring as much awareness to the Move Over laws to help keep these officers safe.
